She’s In Her Own World

Attraction, being a mysterious and often stuttery and misfiring phenomenon, not to mention catalytic in the survival of the species, justifies a little broader and deeper exploration treatment than I think it gets from most song writers. I plan to group the songs I’ve written in this vein in what I think of as a cyber-album.  This will be one of them.

SHE’S IN HER OWN WORLD

Em

She’s in her own world

Cma7

You can’t reach her

D                                        Em

She’s got everything arranged just right

Em

She’s in her own world

Cma7

You can’t save her

D                                    Em

She’s got everything arranged just right

Cma7           D                   Em

She wants the world to stand still for her

Cma7-D                               Em

I don’t think it will

Cma7-D     Em

What else can she do..then, but hide

Cma7-D       Em

From what’s going on outside

Oh but she was dressed in black

And she looked good enough for TV

She was pretty in her way

Slender

And she got to me

Needless to say, I knew better

I should have stayed away

Altogether

She’s in her own world

You can’t save her

She’s got everything arranged just right

She’s in her own world

You can’t change her

The chemistry ain’t right

But me, being me

I had to try

Got slapped away

And I know why

Still, it seems a shame to me

She never knew how kind I could b

Chorus

She’s in her own world

You can’t save her

She’s in her own world

You can’t change her

She’s in her own world

You can’t touch her
